When I arrived on campus freshman year, I was happily suprised with the endless meal choices and tasty food at Binghamton University. From the dining halls, MarketPlace and a Dunkin Donuts on campus, I enjoyed every meal and never grew tired of the options.
Fast-forward two years when I cut meat out of my diet and I suddenly felt like my dinner options on campus were limited to the same salads every day. I avoided eating in the dining halls and cooked at home more often, but I am a horrible chef and I missed picking up a big sandwich on campus. So I decided to go on a scavenger hunt of sorts and try all the vegetarian and vegan meal options on campus, and it turns out there’s a lot! The days have gotten shorter, the stars now stay out longer, and mornings are coated in a gentle layer of fresh snow, meaning it is officially holiday season here in Binghamton. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, with downtown streets decorated in beautiful lights and wreaths, while Mariah Carey once again dominates the charts. You can make the most of December right here in Binghamton with festivities and celebrations happening throughout the month.

We’ve gathered 21 photos that tell the story of Binghamton University in 2021. Here’s to another big year!

2021 has been a celebration of community, growth and a return back to ‘normalcy.’ Coincidentally, Binghamton University celebrated its 75th anniversary this year. Our University has grown so much in such a short period of time, achieving things on level with some of the most elite universities. After digging through the archives, I’ve compiled several photos that encompass then and now to truly visualize how much has changed over time. Let’s take a look back at the history of the University to truly appreciate the community that Bearcats have built from scratch.
