Although the semester just started, it's never too early to start planning ahead for upcoming homework, tests and responsibilities. While you may not be drowning in work just yet, it can be helpful to know where to go when you need some extra assistance. Here are some on-campus resources that are available to help you ace this semester.

With the holidays approaching, we thought what better way to celebrate than to invite everyone on campus to put on an ugly sweater and get their picture taken? Binghamton students, faculty and staff donned their festive apparel for our first-ever Holiday Sweater Contest. Participants were asked to bring a food or personal care items to donate to Bear Necessities Food Pantry. From sweaters celebrating sports teams to more homespun creations, Binghamton really came through in our inaugural event. Take a gander at these festive sweaters!

As summer gets into full swing, you’re probably thinking a lot about the next few months -- dreaming about your future days on the beach, hiking excursions or trips to the zoo. Luckily, you can do all of these things and much more right here in Binghamton, all summer long! Many stay in Binghamton for the summer, whether it's for a class, job, internship, research, etc. Summers in Binghamton are beautiful, and many students take the time to get to know Greater Binghamton in a whole new way. Here are some of my favorite things to do!

If you know Binghamton, then you know two consecutive snow days is unheard of. Well, that is exactly what happened when Stella decided to pass by downstate and make a B-Line towards Binghamton, which then became the epicenter of the storm. The fact that you survived the most snow ever in Binghamton for a 24-hour period (31.1") is a pretty big deal.
I, for one, have more #BingPride than ever after seeing how we weathered the storm. Here are just a few of the things I think we collectively learned from this experience.
There's always something new and interesting going on at Binghamton University, and this blog is our way of sharing in that excitement with you. Stay up to date on the latest happenings, learn something new, have a laugh (or two), and join us as we celebrate this energetic and outstanding community! This is your story, Binghamton.
