Grad student Kevin Brouillard has travelled far and wide, but Upstate New York holds a special place in his heart. Though he had amazing experiences overseas, thanks to study abroad and the Peace Corps, he wants to focus on revitalizing communities in his home state after graduating with his master's in sustainable communities.

Lydia King, like many incoming freshmen, came to college not knowing exactly what she wanted to do with the rest of her life -- but she knew her future involved data science and analytics. So when she saw that there was a need for a club where students could go to learn the skills necessary to be successful in fields related to data science, she decided to start one.
It's a recognized fact that Spring Fling is the most wonderful time of the semester. Classes are just about over and the finish line is finally in sight (just hang in there a bit longer, Bearcats!) This year in particular, with all the crazy weather we’ve had, Spring Fling will be an even more welcome occurrence, because it should finally be warm and stay warm (fingers crossed). Hopefully it won’t rain on us again, like it did last year, but, come what may, we’ll find a way to have a good time. So mark your calendars for May 5!

Environmental chemistry major Andrea Ross decided to take a break from studying for her orgo test one day and instead enter a film competition, even though she didn't think it would go anywhere. Months later, after receiving a $5,000 scholarship, a DSLR camera and recognition from the governor of New York for her efforts, she’s glad she did.
