What are you grateful for this Thanksgiving? Is it your mom or her delicious pumpkin pie? Before heading home for the holidays, here’s a look at what members of the Binghamton community are most thankful for.
“I’m thankful for my friends and family because when things get tough in school they always have my back to help me through the hard times.”
“I’m thankful to have wonderful parents, but also for the people around me, especially in the SA (Student Association). Because without them, the SA wouldn’t be as strong as it is now.”
“I’m thankful for my mom and her good health, because she has been sick the past year but has gotten slowly but surely better. My mom is really important to me because she’s the only person in America that is blood related. We’ve been in America by ourselves for the last twenty years and I am glad that we can spend more time together.”
“I’m thankful for Krispy Kreme Donuts.”
“I’m thankful that I get to serve you guys. I still feel your age in a way, even though I just turned 50.”
“I’m excited for Thanksgiving primarily because I can celebrate with my family and my dog, who I miss the most.”
“I’m thankful for my Italian family. Being able to eat lasagna on Thanksgiving is pretty awesome!”
“I’m thankful for my family, my friends and to enjoy this beautiful day!”
“I’m thankful for the large support system at school and at home --the people I can go to when I’m stressed or struggling.”
“This is so cheesy, but I'm thankful for a roof over my head.”
“I’m thankful for all the opportunities that I’ve been given. My parents have stopped at nothing to let me reach my full potential.”
“I’m thankful for food and family -- not in that order”
“Besides for my family, of course, I’m thankful that I can say I figured out my passion in life. I’m excited to see what’s ahead of me after graduation.”
“I’m thankful for a friend of mine who continues to help me since I lost everything in Hurricane Sandy.”
“I’m thankful for all the opportunities and people I’ve met at Binghamton.”
“I’m excited to see my family because I can finally sit down and enjoy not only quality time, but also quality food. I can’t wait to catch up on everything that I’ve missed in the last two months.”
“I’m thankful for my ability to manifest my thoughts in a creative manner.”
“I'm thankful for the core members of my family -- the ones who are real when everyone else is fake.”
“I'm thankful for a few things. Number one, my sisters. Number two, my family. Number three, my health.”
“I’m thankful I’m able to spread happiness and have an impact on other people.”
