There are plenty of ways to enjoy the fall semester at Binghamton, both on campus and off campus. From performances to comedians to beautiful fall foliage, here are some of the many things to look forward to in autumn.

Now you finally have the opportunity to show off those fancy Binghamton-themed leggings you bought online this summer! Sports events, performances and Tailgate are bound to make the weekend of September 24-25 unforgettable. 

Take the fam on a tour of your new home

There are reasons for your family to come visit other than to bring that container of homemade sauce and the bagels from home you've been asking for. Family Weekend, which takes place September 16-18, is an opportunity to play games, tour campus -- avoid showing your parents that you haven't done laundry since they dropped you off.

Raise the roof at the Fall Concert

The Binghamton Student Association has brought in some awesome musical acts for Fall Concerts in the past, including Big Sean, J Cole, and the Chainsmokers. This year's act is yet to be announced but, rest assured, the concert will be an awesome night of dancing, singing, and jumping up and down in unison with your peers. Oh, and sweating.

LOL at Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Remember the hilarious CW improv show that was on when you weren't old enough to understand most of the jokes? Well, now's your chance to appreciate those jokes, when Whose Line cast members Greg Proops and Brad Sherwood come to Binghamton on Sept. 17 for the nostalgic standup performance of a lifetime.

Root for the home team

Throw on some green (that's Pantone 342, okay?) and cheer on the Bearcats this fall as soccer, volleyball, cross country and other sports teams kick, spike and sprint their way to victory! 

Chow down during Restaurant Week

Dying to try one of the many hot restaurants of downtown Bing, but don't want to burn a hole in your wallet? Good news! Restaurant Week comes twice a year and offers modified menus with great deals and great three- or four-course options -- and it's happening Oct. 18-27!

The fall is beautiful in the Southern Tier, and it's the perfect time to take advantage of the changing leaves, beautiful parks, the Cider Mill, and, of course, the University's very own Nature Preserve. 

Holla for the Dollar Show 2016!

One of the most fun student-run productions on campus is the a cappella and improv Dollar Show. For one dollar, you can enjoy musical performances by all nine campus a cappella groups (including mine, The Vibes) and the improv group The Pappy Parker Players in Lecture Halls 1, 2 and 14. September 10 is a night you don't want to miss!

Channel your inner theatre nerd

The Theatre Department always puts on unforgettable performances, like Rent, Hamlet, A Chorus Line, and more. This fall's performances include The Motherf***er with the Hat (October 14, 15, 19) and The Bells Are Ringing. Be there.
