9 Things You Can’t Miss During Binghamton University’s Family Weekend 2016

Binghamton has tons of fun-filled events in store for Family Weekend 2016. Whether your family is in town or not, you don't want to miss out on these amazing experiences.
Warm up at the Family Fun Bonfire
Roast some marshmallows and make some delicious s'mores with your family at the Newing College Fire Pit, behind C4 Dining Hall, from 7-9 p.m Friday, Sept. 16.
Watch a fishy flick with the fam
Finding Dory will play at 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, in the Undergrounds Coffeehouse. Enjoy the top movie of the year and watch Dory attempt to reunite with her family.
Play with cute zoo animals
Pet, feed and play with local zoo animals when the Zoomobile stops by the University Union-103 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.
Explore the University Art Museum
Come to room 213 of the Fine Arts Building from noon-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 to explore the University Art Museum for free. Enjoy the uniqueness of the exhibits, which touch on subjects as diverse as Cuban baseball and Shakespeare.
Chow down on BBQ food
Fill up on delicious BBQ food from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, in the Peace Quad. Tickets are $10 per person, but Binghamton students eat for free. Pre-registration is required. Call 607-777-5711 with any questions or concerns.
Enjoy sweet harmonies at Absolutely A Capella
See Binghamton's nine pitch-perfect a capella groups perform at the Osterhout Concert Theater in the Anderson Center from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 for free. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, so come early to get great seats for this spectacular show!
ROTFL at the comedy show
Greg Proops and Brad Sherwood from Whose Line is it Anyway? will give a hysterical performance at the Events Center at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. Get ready to cry from laughter at these two comedians.
Take advantage of Binghamton's beautiful weather this time of the season and go apple picking
Lone Maple Farm hosts apple picking from 10 a.m.-noon Sunday, Sept. 18 for University families. Busses will run frequently from the University Union every 20 minutes, with the last bus leaving at noon. Load up on Mcintosh!
Hike through our beautiful Nature Preserve
Take advantage of the University's exquisite beauty and go on a hike at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 18. Meet your own personal tour guide at the edge of M lot and enjoy our gorgeous Nature Preserve.
