Hello, all! My name is Kara Bilello and I am excited to introduce myself as an intern for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, with a focus in communications and marketing. I  am double majoring in English and Spanish.

I am very involved in our Bearcat community. You can find me as a coxswain on the crew team early each morning on the Susquehanna River, writing op-ed articles about the importance of mental health for Pipe Dream (one of several school newspapers), or spending time with friends in Bartle between classes.

What I love most about Binghamton is the family that I have found here. Despite my hometown of Syracuse being only 90 minutes away, I consider Binghamton to be my second home. I feel like the most authentic and brightest version of myself here. Through my campus involvement I have found incredible friends. I conduct research with my Professor of Linguistic Anthropology Sabina Perrino, and learn about English literature from professors who foster my interest in the subject and make me laugh in their classes. Without a doubt, Binghamton's campus and the friends that I have here keep me bubbly and smiling every day.

If I had to go through the college search and application process all over again, I would still choose Binghamton. I am grateful to have had an incredible experience so far. If you have questions and want to speak to a current student, contact us

Kara Bilello is a sophomore from Syracuse, New York. She majors in English and Spanish and in her free time, enjoys being a coxswain on the crew team, writing for Pipe Dream, singing, and learning to play instruments.
