Binghamton is a fun and exciting place to be, but there are a few tips that you should know to get through the school year. So, I've created a fun-yet-helpful starter pack to get you started on the right path. As a senior, I wish I had these tips when I was new to campus!
Whether you’re using the blue busses to get to the UDC or just downtown in general, you can always count on them to get you where you need to be. The lines can get crazy on the weekends, so make sure you're at your stop early.
First off, don't be that freshman who is soaked walking into class. You never know when it will start to randomly downpour. Make sure you always have an umbrella in your bag, car or anywhere else, just in case.
Head to the Binghamton Bookstore in the Union now, and get some green apparel to show your school spirit. What’s Binghamton without a Pantone 342 sweater and comfy sweatpants? #GreenDayFriday
Hey! Look, she’s wearing superstars just like the other 50 girls in the room! These shoes are becoming the new Converse of campus, no joke.
You'll probably need four of these layered on to truly embrace Binghamton winters. You know the weather is brutal, fam, so dress accordingly!
Where you’ll be doing most of your grocery shopping while at Binghamton! The options are endless. (Pro tip: Pick up a yummy sub.)
The real reason why anyone ventures off to Hinman. Stop here and you'll be smiling at your next 8 a.m. #TheTrekToHinmanIsReal
You will need about five boxes of these per semester, no joke. You'll probably catch the Binghamton Plague at least once, so stock up.
Our mascot. Is he a bear or a cat? The world may never know. We do know he’s awesome and is always venturing around campus, so make sure you stop by and take a picture with him.
Here's the complete Binghamton Starter Pack. Share it with your friends and classmates, and help them get through the school year the right way!
