College admission tips from our admissions counselors!

Posted by Lance Kim on October 8, 2019

Our friendly admissions counselors are traveling all around the country to meet with future Bearcats, and they have some awesome insider tips for the college application process.

With Binghamton's Early Action deadline just around the corner (Nov. 1!) it's the perfect time to hear some application tips.

Check out these short (but sweet) videos taken by our admissions team on the road!

Doug talks about making the most of your extracurriculars:

Checking in from Coatesville, Pa., Doug talks about the importance of stuffing your application with everything that you’ve done. Here’s his advice on becoming “The next great Bearcat!”

Christi wants all your questions:

Christi’s advice from Simsbury, Conn.,  is to ask questions! Whether they’re about your essay, the application process or where Binghamton is on a map, no question is too big or too small. (Did she mention she’s excited to read your application?)

Mikayla cares about what matters to you:

From Washington D.C. en route to Colorado, Mikayla wants to hear about what you do outside the classroom. Do you volunteer, have a job or lead a club? An application isn’t just about your grades and your test scores!

Andrew gives the scoop on test scores:

Finally, from Massachusetts, Andrew discusses test scores. Our Admissions Office superscores both the SAT and ACT, so sending in all your results is a surefire way to make sure they see your best work.
