How to Celebrate Halloween Here at Binghamton

Halloween is my favorite time of the year at Binghamton! From enjoying the beautiful fall scenery to exploring a haunted mansion, there is always something to do to immerse yourself into the spooky season. If you’re looking for ways to celebrate “Halloweekend,” here are some can’t-miss events.

Show off your costume at Late Nite

Late Nite is hosting a Spooktacular Fright Nite full of games and prizes, as well as a mechanical zombie bull. There's a costume contest too, so make sure to wear your most creative getup!

Watch a movie or two

Celebrate Halloween by watching back-to-back horror movies this Friday. Late Nite presents Candyman at 8 p.m., followed by the Q Center’s showing of The Rocky Horror Picture Show at 10 p.m. 

Go on a spooky mansion tour

Get into the spirit of the spooky season with haunted mansion tours throughout downtown Binghamton. From candlelight tours at The Roberson Museum and Phelps Mansion, to paranormal investigations at the Historic Bundy House, these tours are sure to give you a good fright while providing the history of their owners. 

Survive Slaughterland Screampark

Do you have what it takes to walk through over 100 acres of terror at Slaughterland Screampark? You may find yourself lost in the Fallen Fairgrounds, or wandering through the Wendigo Woods. If you’re looking for some true thrillseeking, this is the place to go this Halloween.

Created by a local Emmy-award winning special effects makeup artist, this one-of-a-kind haunted attraction is a must-visit if you find yourself in the Binghamton area around Halloween. Enhanced with strobe lights and fog, you'll feel like you're immersed in a real-life horror movie! Can you survive Hellstead Manor?

Make your way through a corn maze

If horror isn’t your thing, make sure to check out  Stoughton Farm’s annual Maize! Within this Wonderous Web of Adventure, you will find yourself in the heart of a huge spider web. To add a bit of fright, make sure to visit on a weekend night and see if you can make your way through the maze in the dark.
