B Welcome

COVID-19 Update

At Binghamton, the health and safety of our students is our number one priority. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow guidelines set by federal, state and local authorities regarding large public gatherings. The start of a new academic year is a fun and exciting time for us all, and although many of the events and activities normally held at the start of the semester may look different this year, we are committed to providing an enriching and welcoming experience for all of our students joining us this fall.

This webpage will be updated as more information becomes available. Check back frequently for announcements and updates to our B Welcome Week calendar.

What is B Welcome?

Diversity, Unity and Justice: Building a Bearcat Perspective Together

A common read project for first-year residential students will help build community.

Residential Life collegiate professors along with partners across campus have developed programming around a unifying theme. First-year students are reading, Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption by Bryan Stevenson and watching the documentary, 13th by filmmaker Ava DuVernay. Find more information about the project on this BingUNews page. Look for the Just Mercy/13th activities and events below along with a keynote speaker and culminating event lead by the Multicultural Resource Center.
