The Emergency Fund is a source of financial assistance for currently enrolled Binghamton University students who meet eligibility criteria who are experiencing an unusual and unforeseen financial demand which immediately threatens the student's ability to successfully complete the semester and for which there is no other source of reasonable remedy. This fund cannot be used for books, tuition, student fees, laboratory breakage fees, lost ID or meal cards, library fines, jail bond or meal charges for spring break or winter term, or housing costs such as rent or utilities. Funds are awarded as a grant, and unlike a loan, do not need to be repaid. Please be advised that it may take up to 5 business days for processing before receiving funds.
All students receiving assistance from this fund must submit receipts within 10 days. Failure to do so could prohibit use of this fund in the future and may result in reporting of income to the IRS. Contact the Dean of Students at email@example.com or (607) 777-2804.
