Help the Friends of the Library set up for their next book sale. The book sale will be set up on Friday November 8th from 1 pm until 3 pm. This involves helping to move boxes of books and then sort them by subject on tables. We can't pay you, but all volunteers at the set-up can purchase any of the used books prior to the sale--$1 per hardcover and $0.50 a paperback. If you love to read, this is a great way to expand your own personal library! Many of the regular volunteers also bring baked goods, that you are welcome to enjoy.
The BC Transit #5 bus can be taken from BU to the Broome County Public Library.

This does involve some manual labor--we try to keep the boxes to 30 lbs or less, but it is sometime surprising how much 'coffee table' books weigh just on their own.
