Project Description
Help the Friends of the Library set up for their next book sale. The book sale will be set up on Friday December 13from 1 pm until 3 pm. This involves helping to move boxes of books and then sort them by subject on tables. We can't pay you, but all volunteers at the set-up can purchase any of the used books prior to the sale--$1 per hardcover and $0.50 a paperback. If you love to read, this is a great way to expand your own personal library! Many of the regular volunteers also bring baked goods, that you are welcome to enjoy.
The BC Transit #5 bus can be taken from BU to the Broome County Public Library.

PS--this is also a great way to do some holiday shopping! You'd be amazed at how many brand new books are donated, and when you help set up, you get first pick!

This does involve some manual labor--we try to keep the boxes to 30 lbs or less, but it is sometime surprising how much 'coffee table' books weigh just on their own.
