Project Description
The Lee Barta Community Center (LBCC) is currently looking for volunteers for the After-School Youth Enrichment Program. Volunteers will support youth success by providing students, K-5, with tutoring services, mentoring, reading, and homework help as well as participating in enrichment activities. The After-School Youth Enrichment Program is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to grow and learn as they make a meaningful difference in the lives of our program’s participants. The Lee Barta Community Center is also seeking a Volunteer Program Associate. The Volunteer Program Associate will work as part of a team, with other program staff, to help facilitate innovative and quality activities geared towards youth participants, in the core areas of Character & Leadership, Education & Enrichment, Health & Life Skills. Activities will focus on Cooking and Nutrition, the Arts, and Sports & Recreation. Individuals must be creative, energetic, open-minded, and a self-starter; must maintain a healthy mentor to mentee relationship with all youth. This position is a part-time volunteer position, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.
