Project Description
Internship Description PURPOSE: - Increase participation, sponsorship and public aware of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s 10th Annual Light The Night Walk. - Help to raise the needed funds to support our mission: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. REQUIREMENTS: - Interns should be college students, preferably but not required, to be seniors working toward a degree in a related field. Interns must have good verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, be able to organize various components of assigned duties and proficient computer skills. RESPONSIBILITIES: (minimum 120 hours for 3 credit hours) - Recruit new Light The Night Teams and new sponsors/ donors - Service participants and donors via telephone and computer - Utilize Internet for research and prospecting new companies and organizations in the Binghamton community - Develop strategies to achieve fund raising goals for Binghamton Light The Night Walk - Assist with pre event set up, assist day of the event and assist with post event follow up - Reports to Deputy Executive Director
