Project Description
Event Coordinator will work with the President/Fundraising Chair and STAT's Executive Director in seeking out event sponsors and planning the special event(s). Other related tasks can be negotiated as they appear. You are NOT expected to work full-time - this is designed as an internship for possibly 2 individuals to work as a team with the goal to achieve set fundraiser revenue goals. The ideal candidate(s) will be VERY motivated and independent worker(s). STAT operates out of several home offices and therefore cannot provide office space. This is a work-from-home/dorm position. You must have your own computer and all other equipment needed to fulfill job responsibilities. Expenses such as office supplies, ink, stamps, etc., will be paid by STAT per a budget proposed by candidate and agreed upon by STAT's Executive Director. This position may require a lot of local travel (drop offs and pick ups of goods or donations) and will require in-person planning and coordination meetings. You must be willing and able to attend weekly in-person meetings via telecom weekly with STAT's CEO. There are no education requirements, but you must have experience in writing, fundraising, and planning. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual to earn college credit and get serious hands-on experience in the event coordination/development field. Having your own car is helpful but can possibly work within local bus schedules. Work hours are flexible and will flex to your class and break schedules. Candidate(s), once 'hired', may enlist others to help; i.e., youth volunteers, other STAT volunteers, board members, parents of STAT children, etc. The main event for 2014 is a Golf Tournament. This is our 3rd Annual, therefore, we have a fantastic working list of sponors, donors, participants. Interested candidates should send a response to this posting that includes a short summary of work experience; resume/CV and a cover letter are appreciated as well.
