When children and teens have the influence of a caring adult, they are more likely to avoid risky behaviors and to focus on academics. Today's youth face a variety of challenges, and having a BBBS mentor can help them navigate these challenges and reach their potential. BBBS's matches adult volunteers, 18+, with a same gender youth in their community. Volunteers then spend a minimum of 4 hours per month hanging out with their Littles, serving as a positive role model while doing fun activities.
