Is there a community issue you're passionate about? Not sure how you can contribute to its solution? The Center for Civic Engagement is ready to work with you to find a volunteer opportunity that will help our local area and also make you an active and engaged community member.
Working with impactBING CORE (Community Opportunities for Real Engagement), students can find semester-long partnerships with organizations best suited for their needs, interests and experiences. Programs range from computer literacy education to working with local youth groups. Don't see a program that spikes your interest? The CCE is more than willing to work with you to identify a project you can get involved in or assist you in starting a new program that facilitates change in the Binghamton community.
Note: Due to the governor's announcement that all SUNY schools are to move to online classes beginning March 19, it is expected that many students will leave Broome County. With this and the health and safety of our students and the community in mind, the CCE will not coordinate volunteer placements after Wednesday, March 18.
