Daniel Hampton's research interests focus around health policy. Specifically, he is interested in the Affordable Care Act passed in 2010; nonprofit hospital compliance with federal and state “community benefit” standards; political institutional, historical institutional, and power resource theories' congruence with state universal health care development and welfare state retrenchment.
He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. Hampton's professional experience includes leadership positions in government, hospitals and managed-care organizations.
