Rebecca Kukowski has strong interests in feminist and critical pedagogical (college teaching) practices and is "research-passionate" about critical social work theory and practice and critique of the social construction and maintenance of American mental health cultural systems.
Kukowski is a licensed in New York State as a clinical social worker (LCSW). She has practiced as a community advocate and organizer in my work with Citizen's Action, the City of Binghamton Community Development and Planning Office, and as a respite volunteer in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Kukowski has clinical practical experience in community mental health settings and most recently with the Syracuse University Counseling Center. Her clinical foundation is in attachment-based practices and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
She works as an adjunct instructor in the Department of Human Development.
