Help Students Make Connections in the Big Apple
Every year, partner career offices at Binghamton University work together to host Employer Treks for students in New York City as a part of the NYC CONNECT Program.
The NYC Employer Treks are designed to help students enhance their professional education, explore various work environments and industries, learn about career opportunities, make connections and expand their professional networks. Employers from a variety of industries are included to give students a broad range to explore.
A typical Employer Trek lasts two hours and consists of an employer presentation and information session, panel of employees, company tour, Q&A and an opportunity to network with alumni and other professionals.
To direct your donation to support this program, please include "NYC Employer Site Visits" in the special instructions/comments box when making your donation.
NYC Alumni Network
The New York City area has nearly 50,000 alumni who are vital to the success of current Binghamton University students. We tap into these alumni to open their company doors. New York City also boasts a large and very active regional alumni chapter.
Your Support at Work
Binghamton University career offices partner to sustain the largest professional development and career readiness program on campus. Your support allows these offices to build ongoing relationships with employers in NYC that offer internships and job opportunities to our students and to continue to grow program offerings.
Student Success Stories
Attending the industry visits was ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PIECES TO MY CAREER PLAN. The opportunity to connect with top professionals in the industry demonstrated to me how important my network was going to be moving forward. The experience that students can gain from these opportunities is second to none and I would recommend that all students take full advantage of these visits.
I am so grateful my University offered this opportunity to me. It was ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES as it pertains to my career growth. It really made me excited about the possibilities for my future.
I was able to make many connections from the NYC visit, where I got opportunities for internships in the summer. I encourage other students to apply for the NYC visits as they have HELPED ME DEVELOP MORE CONNECTIONS FOR MY FUTURE.
