Join us to hear Adriana Morquecho ‘15, Associate Manager at Partnership for Public Service, in a virtual Cool Connections Hot Alumni program on Thursday, February 22, at Noon. As a Political Science student at Binghamton University, Morquecho knew that a career related to the government was the right path for her. As a JFEW scholar, she has the opportunity to network and connect with federal employees, as well as intern at the U.S. Department of State. In addition to that, Morquecho also interned for a non-profit in Belgium and even in the White House. Armed with a passion for public service and an impressive resume, Morquecho headed to Washington DC after graduation. She is currently Associate Manager at Partnership for Public Service, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization which works to inspire individuals to enter the sphere of public service. This role lets her engage and inspire the next generation of federal leaders.

The JFEW SUNY International Relations and Global Affairs 2-year Scholarship Program's goal is to empower the next generation of global female leaders through education and hands-on experience. Scholars will participate in monthly seminars regarding international relations topics, have a summer internship between junior and senior year at an international organization in NYC and receive career development assistance. This program is extremely competitive to receive admission in as 10 scholars are chosen per cohort. Requirements are as follows: GPA at a 3.0 and higher, financial need demonstrated through a submitted FAFSA, residence within 50 miles of NYC, leadership expereience and a clear interest in international affairs. At this information session, Ali Cain, JFEW adviser, will speak more in depth about the program and will answer any questions. You must confirm your plans to attend by Noon on Monday, Feb. 17. If you fail to confirm your attendance, your dinner reservation will be given to the next student on a waitlist.
