Fleishman Center Shares Expertise at Global Career Services Summit in U.K.
The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development is one of over 100 career services centers from around the world sharing expertise at the third annual Global Career Services Summit at Newcastle University in the U.K.
The Summit takes place from March 13-15 and focuses on learning practices, dialogue among career service providers, and international networking opportunities and partnerships.
Dr. Kelli K. Smith, Assistant Vice President for Career Programs and Experiential Education, is representing Binghamton University at the Summit, sharing insight about career services by engaging in workshops and presentations. The Summit is being hosted by Career Service Directors from Binghamton University, Newcastle University, University of Cape Town (South Africa), and University of California, Irvine.
Brian Rose, Vice President of Student Affairs, said he hopes the Summit fosters a rich discussion and inspires campus delegates.
"We are proud to co-host this year's Global Careers Summit and the sharing of ideas to advance student success and career readiness," Rose said.
The Fleishman Center always strives to remain at the forefront of career services trends by sharing expertise, both nationally and internationally.
The Fleishman Center was named an Exemplary Career Center by the National Career Development Association, the top award given to recognize outstanding achievement, in 2017. The Fleishman Center won based on its mission, services, vision and goals, making it the third center ever to be recognized as an Exemplary Career Center internationally.
