JC Mentor Program Application

All materials for Fall 2018 Johnson City Mentor Internship Program applications are due by August 27, 2018. Interviews for selected students will be held on August 30, 2018, along with mandatory orientations.

Applications will ONLY be accepted through hireBING. If you are having trouble uploading your resume or additional documents, please email hirebing@binghamton.edu.

How to Apply

First-Time Applicant Instructions:

If you've never been a JC Mentor before, and are interested in participating, you must:

1. Login to hireBING and complete your profile.

2. Apply to the "Johnson City Mentor Program First Time Applicants" posting in hireBING with the following documents:

Returning Applicant Instructions:

If you've participated in the JC Mentor Program before and would like to return, you must:

1. Login to hireBING and complete your profile.

2. Apply to the "Johnson City Mentor Program Returning Applicants" posting in hireBING with the following documents (recommendation and application forms above are not required) :

  • Your resume
  • A cover letter addressing the following questions:
  1. Why do you wish to re-enroll for this mentor internship?
  2. What are some new goals that you are setting for yourself as a returning mentor?
  3. Do you want to be placed with the same mentee? Why or why not?
  4. What advice would you give to a first time JC Mentor from Binghamton University
  5. Please provide the name of your mentee AND semester of your past participation in the program.

NOTE: Cover letters can be addressed to Mr. Wilson, Dean of Students.
