The Center for International Business Advancement (CIBA) is an applied research and education center affiliated with the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships. It is a policy forum with a mission to boost economic growth and job creation in the Southern Tier, NY region through increased global competitiveness of the local communities. The Center aims at achieving its mission by providing applied research, experiential courses, workshops, specialized programs and networking events that help small and mid-sized companies from the Southern Tier expand to international markets and become globally competitive; promote foreign direct investment and assist foreign companies in their efforts to establish operations in the Southern Tier; and bring international business to the forefront of the policy efforts for economic revitalization of the region.
CIBA has been designated by the U.S. Small Business Administration Syracuse District Office as part of its regional export outreach team for the Southern Tier, NY region.
