Next ExportNY Program Starts on March 12, 2019

The Program. This comprehensive executive training program leverages industry, private, university and governmental resources to assist companies from the Southern Tier region in increasing their growth potential through successful exporting to international markets.
Learn the new trends in global trade from the experts. Prominent industry and global trade consultants, as well as advisors from the U.S. Commercial Service and Global New York, ESD will present on topics including export finance and banking, legal contracts, trademarks and intellectual property considerations, product adaptation for exporting, international marketing and e-commerce, selecting foreign partners, global supply chains and export logistics, risk insurance, and more.
Develop your own export plans or improve existing plans with customized assistance from ExportNY Program advisors and instructors, and guided research support from Binghamton University students.
Implementation. Following the four-month export training, the ExportNY Program will assist company participants in establishing direct linkage to the foreign to the foreign target markets for each company as identified in their customized export plans.
Cost: $3,000 per company. The cost includes education/training for multiple company participants, breakfasts and lunches for seven class sessions, and subsequent implementation support. Companies are eligible for a training grant of up to $2,500 from the Workforce Development Institute.

Exploring Global Markets with Global NY Export Experts
CIBA hosted Global New York's Foreign Directors' Tour at Binghamton University's Innovative Technologies Complex. Global New York's trade representatives based in Canada, Mexico, Europe (U.K.), South Africa, Israel and China made presentations about the opportunities of expanding to their respective regions and markets, and the logistical and financial support available to companies from New York state. Global New York's international business experts and industry specialists held also one-on-one consultations with company representatives and business service providers from the Southern Tier.
The Southern Tier stop of the Global NY Export Experts Tour was sponsored by the Center for International Business Advancement, the Federal Relations Office, the Office of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Partnerships, and the School of Management at Binghamton University.
CIBA Receives Grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission
CIBA was awarded a two-year grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to develop an ExportNY Program "Launch into the Global Marketplace" for executives of small to mid-sized businesses from the Southern Tier, NY Region. ARC is a United States federal-state partnership that works with the people of Appalachia to create opportunities for self-sustaining economic development and improved quality of life.
CIBA is Designated as an Export Outreach Entity by the Small Business Administration
CIBA was designated by the U.S. Small Business Administration Syracuse District Office as part of its regional export outreach team for the Southern Tier, NY region.
