Teaching Online Certification Program

TOCP not currently offered

Due to budgetary cointraints, the TOCP is not currently being offered. Feel free to schedule a consultation with one of our staff to discuss your online teaching concerns.

Participants in this program explore current research and practices regarding online learning, as well as related instructional design concepts and technologies. The program is facilitated by the instructional designers in the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT).

Program Format

The program is delivered in a hybrid format; most of the material is in an online, self-paced format, while other content is in a face-to-face format.

The face-to-face time commitment is three hours - one hour at the beginning of the program and two hours at the end of the program for two virtual meetings - and one to two hours of consultation time with your assigned instructional designer. The rest of the program is delivered in an online format through Brightspace by D2L. Keep in mind that, even though the online material is self-paced, there are due dates to complete the program (listed below).
