Arti Ramesh joined the Department of Computer Science at Binghamton University as assistant professor in Spring 2017. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Maryland, College Park in 2016. Prior to her Ph.D., she received a Masters in Computer Science from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Her primary research interests are machine learning, data mining, and natural language processing. Her research brings together several areas of computer science such as probabilistic graphical models, structured prediction, learning analytics, and social network analysis. She is especially interested in building predictive analytic models for real world socio-behavioral data.
