About Us

A department within the Division of Student Affairs the University Counseling Center provides comprehensive preventive and clinical mental health services to all Binghamton University undergraduate students, graduate students and affiliated entities to enhance the psychological well being of individual students, as well as the broader campus culture. Our goal is to help students integrate their college experiences and to cope with the stresses that are inherent in a diverse institution of excellence.

In addition to individual and group psychotherapy, the center operates an eating awareness program; the 20:1 sexual assault fraternity peer education program; and Interpersonal Violence Prevention, a comprehensive program for victims of sexual assault, abuse, stalking and bullying. Additionally, we provide referral services, deliver consultations and psycho-educational programs, and participate in or sponsor a variety of events throughout the year.
