Background

Kathleen Fitzgerald has been an advanced nurse practitioner for more than 20 years and has precepted nurse practitioner students within her clinical practice during this time.

She has taught as adjunct faculty in higher institutions as a clinical provider in family practice. She has also managed acute and chronic illness throughout the lifespan of the patients in a rural underserved family practice.

Fitzgerald shares these valuable clinical experiences with students at Binghamton University's Decker School of Nursing in her role as clinical assistant professor.
