What is Supplemental Instruction?

Supplemental Instruction is facilitated group study by undergraduate students (SI Leaders) who have previously taken the course and excelled in academically. We arrange for SI Leaders to be available to aid in academic success for classes that students traditionally find challenging. With the instructor’s permission, the SI Leaders sit in on the course that which they are providing supplemental instruction for, and provide a collaborative study group environment on a weekly basis. They also coordinate review sessions around exam times.

**Beginning March 19, 2020, all SI Sessions will be hosted online using Zoom.

  • Your SI Leader will share the Zoom link to their session via myCourses announcements or via email.
  • For questions regarding a specific SI  Session, please contact the respective SI Leader(s) below via email.
  • For general questions about SI, please contact Julia Milewski (jmilewski@binghamton.edu).
