Program advising

When you enroll in the Master of Public Health (MPH) Program at Binghamton University, you will be assigned an academic advisor who is a faculty member in the MPH Program.

Your advisor will help you develop a program plan that supports your academic success. You will have an opportunity to assess your academic progress, skill development and achievement of public health competencies at the beginning of your program and each semester. Your advisor can also provide you with guidance on career opportunities and assist you with field placements that align with your professional interests. Note that students are required to maintain a 3.0 grade point average in order to be placed in external internships. For students who encounter difficulties, the MPH Program provides a range of support services and your academic advisor will serve as an important resource for you.
