Binghamton University's Writing Center 
The Writing Center provides free tutoring in college writing for all students. Our excellent tutors are available Monday-Friday to assist you with any assignment from any class—essays, arguments, research papers, reports, analyses, editorials, proposals, abstracts, and lab reports, with critical reading, developing presentations, and citing sources.

Binghamton University's Public Speaking Lab
The Binghamton University Public Speaking Lab (PSL) supports student development and success in public speaking and oral presentation preparation and delivery. The PSL provides quality peer-to-peer consulting to ANY Binghamton University student seeking oral presentation assistance and critique. Our peer consultants offer constructive oral presentation consulting to our clients from planning to delivery in a risk-free, professional environment.

Binghamton University's Discovery Advisors
Discovery Advisors (DAs) are undergraduate students internationally certified by the College Reading and Learning Association as advanced mentors who provide their peers with academic guidance. DAs assist students with developing effective time management, study, and note-taking skills. They also help with course selection/scheduling , provide information on experiential learning opportunities and help students connect with the BU community and its many resources. DAs are part of your Success Network in Starfish.

Crash Course on Youtube
Crash course offers lectures with transcripts on various topics taught in American high schools and general education classes, including: American History, World History, Philosophy, Physics, Computer Sciences, and more. This is an excellent review service on topics students may be less familiar with.

Khan Academy
Khan Academy has been working on providing a free, world-class education to anyone, anywhere. This non-for-profit offers online quizzes, as well as lectures in common high school and college topics.

Randall's ESL Cyber Listening Lab 
Listen to the conversation and answer the corresponding questions. Your score is immediately tabulated. Good for working on listening comprehension. Note: Users need an audioplayer for this site.

Merriam-Webster Online 
An online monolingual dictionary which gives pronunciation of words as well as their definitions.

Merriam-Webster Learners Dictionary
An online dictionary which explains words, definitions, and gives pronunciations with the English language learner in mind.

This site has audioclips, movies, and a moving model of the vocal tract to help you learn individual English sounds.

Mary Nell's Home Page 
This site has help with everything from verbs, sentence structure, tenses, agreement and propositions. There are even recipes!
