Kellie's professional interests include working with high-needs populations of language learners (ie. refugees and migrant families), teacher training and preparation, and pronunciation instruction for older learners.
Kellie previously taught ESL in the Binghamton City School District's Adult Education program, working with intermediate level students emigrating to Binghamton. She also taught Academic English to International students, as well as TESOL methodology to undergraduate and graduate students pursuing TESOL certification/degrees at SUNY Cortland. Prior to that, Kellie taught ESL at the public middle school, after having lived in Taiwan, teaching English there for several years.
When she isn't in the classroom, Kellie enjoys exploring the area's natural beauty, running, and meeting interesting people from other places in the world.
