Evolving the Future of Broome County

Evolving the Future of Broome County (EFBC) is a new initiative involving a group of Binghamton University faculty, students, and community members working toward a sustainable future for our region.

A key part of the initiative involves creating an inventory of groups in Broome County that are working toward sustainability, which is broadly defined as practices and behaviors that "meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs".

Our goal is to create a more structured network in the Broome County area that will enhance the ability of each member organization to accomplish its mission by strengthening existing ties, creating new connections, and providing additional resources to achieve our common goals.
