About the seminar

With an average 50% failure rate within the first 18 months of employment, possibly the one goal shared by more applicants and employers alike is the ability to seek and secure employment on a full set of non-discriminatory characteristics: knowledge, skills, and experience. The unfortunate reality is the these are all too often trumped by other more easily discernable factors that have at best very little to do with the job performance, and worse embody biased and unethical practices when screening and hiring job applicants.

In either case, cultural fit, defined by alignment to the company's vision and purpose, is the largest single determinant of tenure in an organization. This combined with individual personality traits that predict a candidate's ability to collaborate with and build consensus with others is overlooked all together.

By leveraging extensive academic literature on personality attribution, several frameworks emerge that serve as outcome vectors for predictive models namely the Five Factor Model and determinants of trustworthiness based on physiognomy.

It turns out, experimentation with facial image data renderings from sources including Google and Microsoft shows predictive promise when combined with FFM, emotion theory, and color theory.

By using a series of analytic methods that screen for predictive potential and reduce dimensional complexity, predictive prowess emerges with a completely non-discriminatory set of latent variables that make "who to interview" recommendations based purely on cultural personality fit.

This presentation will reveal the challenges and successes of this effort proving it's not only feasible – it's the new normal.
