Jan HohensteinI am a PhD Candidate in the Philosophy, Literature and Theory of Criticism Program (PLC) in the Department of Comparative Literature. My research revolves around European literature and philosophy in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, specifically the legacy of the Enlightenment in Austrian Literature. I am currently writing a dissertation with the working title, "Man has Limits": Adalbert Stifter and the Counter-Enlightenment.
