Summer Law Internship

Harpur Law Council Pre-Law Public Interest Law Internship Summer Program

A Pre-Law internship program that enables students to experience the practice of law in the public sector by connecting them with Harpur Law Council member attorneys and other Binghamton University law alumni.

This unique undergraduate internship program gives Binghamton University juniors and seniors the opportunity to experience first-hand the practice of law in the public sector and make informed decisions about their choice to pursue a career in law.

Selected students receive stipends ranging from $2,500 to $4,000 plus one credit. This summers' internship locations in the Metro NY area include; Innocence Project, Legal Services, NYC - Bronx, NYC Department of Education, NYS Homes and Community Renewal and the Waterfront Commission of NY Harbor. Internship locations outside of the Metro NY area include; American Civil Liberties Union of New Jersey, Newark, NJ, Broome County Attorney's Office, Binghamton, NY, Center for Elder Law & Justice, Buffalo, NY and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, Office of Chief Counsel, Arlington, VA.
