Teaching Award

Harpur College Teaching Award

Annually we invited all Harpur College students to nominate up to two Harpur instructors and a academic department whose classes they found especially meaningful, challenging, and enjoyable. We typically receive over a thousand nominations of the hundreds of different Harpur instructors from every department and program. Nominated faculty include tenure-track and non-tenure-track faculty as well as graduate student instructors.

*Categories for faculty award winners are; more than 100 students and 100 and fewer students. We determined the best instructor as the one who received the largest number of nominations, relative to the number of students taught. We determined the most popular department/program as the one whose instructors received the most nominations, relative to the total number of students who had taken classes parented by the department or program.
