Welcome to Department of Human Development website. Our program exposes undergraduates to the complexities of human problems — but also entices them to find sustainable solutions to support those affected.
Students choose human development because they want to use their education to help others. They leave the program with the knowledge, experiences and skills they need to use their passion to effect positive impacts. Our graduates have gone on to be teachers, counselors, attorneys, high-ranking government officials and business leaders. Many earn graduate degrees in social work, public administration, student affairs administration, education or law.
I invite you to explore these pages for more information about the wealth of opportunities within the College of Community and Public Affairs and the Human Development Department. You'll see descriptions of courses, programs and faculty, department news, frequently asked questions, internship opportunities and more.
