IASH offers up to five fellowships a semester to Binghamton University faculty. IASH Faculty Fellows are released from teaching one course during either the Fall or the Spring semester and their department/program is remunerated for the release. Fellows receive a small research allowance from IASH.
Faculty who had an IASH Fellowship can apply again. The waiting period between Fellowships is three years (eg. If one Fellowship is in Fall 2018, one's next Fellowship can be in Fall 2021 and one would apply for it in Fall 2020).
In order to encourage innovative undergraduate and graduate teaching IASH offers up to one of its Faculty Fellowships to a ladder faculty who is developing new undergraduate or graduate courses that introduces students to the faculty's research area and facilitate their development of a level appropriate skills set. The faculty and department have to commit to the teaching of the course at least once in the year immediately following the fellowship semester.
In order to encourage innovative work in the digital humanities, IASH offers up to
one of its Faculty Fellowships to a faculty who is pursuing a digital humanities project.
Please use the IASH Faculty Fellowship Application Google form to apply.
Application for AY 2020-2021 will open in May 2019. The deadline for submission is November 1, 2019.
