1. Reminder of ISSS Availability

Advising Walk-In Hours:
The office of International Student and Scholar Services holds walk-in advising hours on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10:00am to 11:45am and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm. Please be advised that ISSS advising walk-in hours are cancelled for Wednesday, August 16, and Thursday, August 17. ISSS walk-in hours will resume as scheduled on Monday, August 21. Special Notice Regarding ISSS Unavailability:
The ISSS will be unavailable on Monday, August 14 from 11:45am to 1:30pm, Wednesday August 16 from 8:30am to 10:00am, and Thursday, August 17 from 8:30am to 10:30am and then from 3:00pm onward. Regular business hours will resume Friday, August 18 at 8:30am. Please visit the ISSS website for additional updates regarding availability.

Shift to University Academic Year Office Hours:
The ISSS is currently on summer hours and open on weekdays from 8:30am to 3:45pm. On Monday, August 21, the ISSS will begin to operate on academic year office hours. This means that the office will be open on weekdays from 8:30am to 4:45pm. Please visit the ISSS Website for updates.


2. This Weekend: Spiedie Fest 2017

Spiedie Fest is today Friday, August 4 through Sunday, August 6 in Otsiningo Park. There are rides, spiedies (locally famous sandwiches), concerts and a market to enjoy as you watch dozens of hot air balloons depart from the park! For additional information, please click here.


3. Arrival of New International Students 

If you happen to meet a new international student prior to Monday, August 14, please be sure to direct them to the ISSS (Old Champlain, Floor 1r, Room 142) during regular business hours. New students should bring their immigration documents (Passport, Visa and I-20/DS-2019). The ISSS is recording new student arrivals and distributing helpful early arrival information. After August 14, you should encourage new students to check-in with ISSS during their scheduled orientation dates.
