2. Downtown Binghamton Scavenger Hunt, August 2

The ISSS has organized a photo scavenger hunt! Grab some friends (or arrive solo and make new ones) and meet ISSS Staff at the University Downtown Center (UDC), Room 120A at 4pm on August 2. Teams will be given clues to help them find various locations/destinations around downtown Binghamton. All teams will return to the UDC by 5:30pm for refreshments and awards! Please note that if there is inclement weather, we will send event updates via email to those who have registered on B-Engaged.

To ensure we have enough staff and refreshments to implement this program, we request that all participants register on B-Engaged. You can register by selecting the circular button on the right side of the B-Engaged Event web page that says I will be attending and then by clicking the button below it that reads RSVP TO EVENT. If you are unable to register via B-Engaged or if you have any questions, email Linda Torricelli, international student and scholar programming coordinator, at ltorrice@binghamton.edu.

3. This Weekend: Spiedie Fest 2018

Spiedie Fest is Friday, August 3 through Sunday, August 5 in Otsiningo Park. There are rides, spiedies (locally famous sandwiches), concerts and a market to enjoy as you watch dozens of hot air balloons depart from the park! For additional information, please click here.

4. Arrival of New International Students

If you happen to meet a new international student prior to Monday, August 13, please be sure to direct them to the ISSS (Old Champlain, Floor 1r, Room 142) during regular business hours. New students should bring their immigration documents (Passport, Visa and I-20/DS-2019). The ISSS is recording new student arrivals and distributing helpful early arrival information. After August 13, you should encourage new students to check-in with ISSS during their scheduled orientation dates.
