1. OPT Application Process for Summer 2019 Graduates
F-1 students who will be graduating in Summer 2019, and plan to apply for post-completion optional practical training (OPT), can apply for OPT now. You may pick an OPT start date between August 19, 2019 and October 17, 2019. When picking your OPT start date, you should keep in mind that it generally takes at least 90 days for an OPT application to be processed by USCIS. The Student Checklist: Applying for Optional Practical Training will provide you with more information regarding the OPT application requirements. Click here for additional information. If you have any questions contact us at email@example.com.
2. Bus Service from JFK to Binghamton University
Several departments on campus have collaborated to create a bus service for students traveling from JFK to Binghamton University. This bus service is for new and continuing international students. Buses will run from mid-July to mid-August. The deadline to register for this service is July 1, 2019. Additional information can be found here. If you have any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
3. Summer Soccer with the ISSS
Are you in Binghamton over summer break? Are you looking for something fun to do? Then you're invited to participate in Summer Soccer with the ISSS from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, at the Newing Co-Rec Field! We will play one or more non-competitive games of soccer. All students are invited to participate as either a player (all skill levels are welcome) or as a spectator.
Remember to wear sneakers and appropriate soccer clothes and to bring sunscreen and bug spray! Water will be provided! The ISSS will bring the soccer equipment and soccer pinnies.
Please note that if there is inclement weather, we will send event updates via email to those who have registered on B-Engaged.
To ensure we have enough staff to implement this program, we request that all participants register on B-Engaged. You can register by selecting the circular button on the right side of the B-Engaged Event web page that says I will be attending and then by clicking the button below it that reads RSVP TO EVENT.
If you are unable to register via B-Engaged or if you have any questions, please email ISSS at email@example.com
