SUNY LAPTOP and WI-FI HOTSPOT LOANER PROGRAM

The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed us all towards more remote activity than ever before. SUNY recognizes the challenges of remote instruction for some students who may have difficulties due to losing access to campus computer labs (PODs) and networks.

In March, as we migrated to remote classes, the NYS PAUSE further confirmed the need for a pool of laptops. The SUNY System Administration, along with the Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) and ITS has procured 200 HP laptops which are currently available for issuance to enrolled Binghamton University students who are facing challenges with their technology.

The Center for Learning and Teaching (CLT) has created an Equipment Request Form for students to fill out to request a laptop and/or a Wi-Fi HotSpot. Your request will be reviewed and if approved, the equipment will be sent to the address you provided in the form. All efforts will be made to expedite all requests; however, due to high demand and limited availability, the CLT and ITS cannot guarantee the fulfillment of your request. Important to note: This is a loaner laptop/equipment and it must be returned at the end of the semester.

NOTE: The COVID Student Laptop & Hotspot Loaner program has ended and has been replaced with a new program. The new program provides 3 types of laptop loans for students: short-term, long-term (student in need), and device repair. Hotspots are no longer available for loan.MORE INFORMATION...
