Living on campus? Introducing Spectrum U just for you!

Binghamton University Information Technology Services and Residential Life are excited to announce that Spectrum University Live TV Streaming (SpectrumU) is now available to ALL students living in residence halls on campus. Over 200 channels can be streamed both wirelessly and from wired devices straight from your dorm room. SpectrumU is supported on several devices including:

  • iPhone, iPad or iPod touch running iOS 8 or above

  • All major Android smartphones and tablets running Android 4.2 or above

  • Roku via the Spectrum TV app

  • Web browser (for desktops, laptops and smart TVs with browsers)

  • Both PC and Mac

SpectrumU has channels for every taste and desire. Everything from Deluxe, Sports, and Premium programming to Music Choice is available. You can get inspired to build your dream house on HGTV, envy non-dining hall food on Food Network, and keep up with current events on many news channels such as CNN and Fox News. For a complete channel listing, visit: https://watch.spectrum.net/guide.

Connecting to SpectrumU is easy. Visit https://watch.spectrum.net to watch on your web browser. If you’re watching directly on a TV, each dorm room is also equipped with one campus-cable TV jack. The Telecommunications Department, located in Library North Ground Floor Room 216, will provide a 10-foot coax cable for you to connect your TV to the wall jack. Remember: you must auto-tune your TV to enable it to recognize the BU campus cable programming channels.

If you’re having trouble, feel free to contact your ResCon first or the Help Desk at 607-777-6420.
