Spectrum Mobile Office On Campus (June 21, 2018)

The University will host a Spectrum mobile office on the main campus from June 25-June 30 from 9am-5pm to facilitate the transition of the off campus internet services from Binghamton University to Spectrum. The mobile office will be located in the parking lot between the Couper Administration and Fine Arts buildings. Please remember to transfer your service over to Spectrum prior to July 31, 2018, and contact the Telecommunications office with the transfer date so that we can end your Telecommunications based billing as of that date. Those customers who opt to disconnect their Spectrum service altogether and prior to July 31 will need to return their modem to the Telecommunications office. If you are converting your existing service to Spectrum billing you should return your Internet modem and power cord to the Spectrum store or the mobile office to exchange it for new equipment.

Binghamton University/Spectrum Off Campus Internet Program Update (May 21, 2018)

Telecommunications supported Time Warner (Spectrum) RoadRunner services to cease.

As a result of Charter's acquisition of Time Warner Cable, Time Warner Cable no longer exists as a separate entity. The university has been notified that as of July 31st, 2018, Binghamton University Telecommunications will no longer be able to provide the billing and service for your (now) Spectrum based internet account as we did under Time Warner Cable.

Customers are encouraged to evaluate internet options in their area. We have been advised that those who wish to continue to use Spectrum for their home internet service will be eligible to receive Spectrum's "new customer" introductory packages. You may visit the local Spectrum office and present the attached memo to establish service and billing directly with Spectrum. In addition, the University will host a Spectrum mobile office on the main campus during the summer of 2018 to facilitate this transition. As details on this mobile office become available they will be shared with customers. Upon making the payment for your final month of internet service with Telecommunications the transition process will be complete.

Those customers who transfer their service over to Spectrum prior to July 31 must contact the Telecommunications office with the transfer date so that we can end your Telecommunications based billing as of that date. Those customers who opt to disconnect their Spectrum service altogether and prior to July 31 will need to return their modem to the Telecommunications office.  If you are converting your existing service to Spectrum billing you should return your Internet modem and power cord to the Spectrum office to exchange it for new equipment.  All moves, adds and changes to your off campus internet service after July 31 must be done directly through Spectrum.
