The Judaic Studies Program

The Judaic Studies Department at Binghamton University offers all undergraduate students, regardless of background, the opportunity to explore and gain an interdisciplinary perspective on over three millennia of Jewish culture and history.

Students are encouraged to design their own degrees around an Area of Interest. These include history, Jewish literature, philosophy, theology, Holocaust studies, Yiddish culture, Israel studies, and more.

The Department offers small class sizes and individualized attention to student interests.  For more information, please contact Department Chair Randy Friedman.
