Services for Emeritus Faculty
Emeritus Faculty retain the same pre-retirement library privileges within the libraries. Limit of 200 items at any one time. Books, microforms, and government documents may be borrowed for one year (see borrowing privileges for faculty). Remote access services may be restricted due to frequently changing licensing agreements and interlibrary loan requests will be processed, as possible, after those by current faculty and students.
Find It!, the Libraries'single-search box tool that provides access to the Library Catalog, the Libraries’ Digital Collections, and a mega-aggregated index of hundreds of millions of scholarly e-resources including articles, e-books, reviews, and legal documents, is freely available to all. See also the Library Catalog and WorldCat.
All New York State residents have access to the New York Online Virtual Electronic Library (NOVEL), which includes the full text of thousands of journals, newspapers and other references. All you need to log in is your New York State Driver License ID or DMV Non-Driver Photo ID. New York State residents may also apply for a library card from the New York Public Library, which can be used to access over 80 of NYPL's online databases from home. For more information about both of these programs, see our guide to Library Resources for NYS Residents.
You may also want to try the Online Reference Shelf, which has many free online resources.
